Speaking against injustice is a crime in today’s world?

In South Delhi on 11.09.2012 Tuesday evening after a police team, looking for a “mobile thief” picked up the nephew of journalist Side Mohammed Ahmed Kama who was arrested for his alleged role in the February 13 attack on an Israeli official in the heart of the city.

The police team went to Shaken Bag Delhi in unmarked cars and the personnel were in plain clothes. There, they picked up Kama’s nephew, Hassan Ahmed, who is a student of Class XI, for questioning.

A clash broke out after residents tried to prevent the police team from taking away the boy. Residents claimed that the policemen had come earlier in the day as well and taken away a boy called Jived.

Hassan was on his way to tuition class when policemen stopped him and forced him inside a car.

“The locals saw the men taking the Hassan away and ran to help him. The men said they were from the police but the residents got angry and assaulted three policemen,” 

According to residents, the police team came without an arrest warrant and did not inform the area police about the operation.

The fact is Hassan was picked up by police to mount pressure on Kama’s family.

It is nothing but target arrest. These activities are not terror prevention rather terror provocation.

I still wonder why most of the ones who were up in arms against the highly condemnable arrest of a cartoonist become dumb when such type of arrests and witch hunts are carried out by the biased police and security system. Exceptions are always there, I am talking in general.

I am really very sorry to write, is the life of Aseem Trivedi more precious than the life a journalist just because he has a surname of Kazmi?

Most humbly I would like to request all true Indians, please stand up in favor of justice for innocent Journalist KAZMI.
